Last night, the Diamond State Roller Girls (moonlighting as “Lucky’s Shamrocks”) battled the Boardwalk Brawlers of Shore Points Roller Derby in the first scrimmage of the season.

This was the first time many of our skaters were able to scrimmage with another team. Our skater tots and vets played an amazing game and worked on building partnerships and using strategies learned during practice. We look forward to a rematch against the girls of Shore Points next week!

The Diamond State Roller Girls were a HIT at the Alternative Living Expo on March 5th, 2011! DSRG checked out some of the vendors and then put their skates on and checked and blocked each other in the make-shift rink for a Roller Derby demonstration. A great time was had by all – vendors, show-goers, and of course, Roller Girls!
